The Rayburn Student Center at East Texas A&M was envisioned as the Heart of Campus (HoC)—a living room where students could gather, connect, and feel at home. 

As the Student Center Designer, I was along new horizons in creating what the student center gets to be as a living room. I developed a brand identity for the HoC rooted in ETAMU’s bold blue and gold, symbols of achievement and pride. My work brought the center to life with changing the student center space to be living room quality, along with posting content on social media.

Identity & Branding
I designed the logo to embody unity; reflecting the student center as a melting pot of diverse populations then with the university's unique identity plus emphasis on energy and heart through red, supported by blue and gold to keeps the logo distinct yet connected to the university.

A spirited re-imagining of the classic film E.T. through the lens of East Texas A&M—drawing on the shared initials to blend pop culture with school pride. This concept explores the intersection of nostalgia and identity, turning the familiar extraterrestrial into a symbol of local spirit.

Environmental Design
Beyond graphics, I worked on environmental design to make the physical space feel like a true living room. I developed and presented wall graphics that infused the space with school spirit and warmth. These designs were approved and implemented, helping transform the center into a welcoming environment.  Interior design will be realized by fall 2025 in the Rayburn Student Center.

Leaving a Legacy-
I joined the Rayburn Student Center (RSC) as a marketing designer, with nothing but university guidelines to limit me. This inspired me to leave a foundation for future designers in the same position, to go through smooth process about how to become a marketing designer through brand guidelines exclusive for the RSC. I made templates for non-designers so could make instagram post while being on brand.

As the sole marketing designer during my time at the RSC, I not only established the center’s visual identity but also laid the groundwork for its future. This postion taught me how to balance creativity with institutional consistency, prepare for design handoffs, and bring a sense of community to life through design. I left a legacy that im proud to improve the future of marketing designers of the Rayburn Student Center.
